Michael Lacorcia

Creative Director | Multimedia Producer

An elegant flat lay of carefully arranged photo and video production tools on a seamless charcoal-grey backdrop: a full-frame camera with a prime lens, a compact drone, a gimbal, a clapperboard, color checker, and a neatly coiled XLR cable. A slim external SSD and minimalist notebook add a hint of workflow planning. Soft, diffused studio lighting from above creates clean, shadowed contours and crisp highlights on metal and glass surfaces. The atmosphere is organized and deliberate, reflecting a Creative Director’s structured process. Photographic realism with a top-down composition, balanced and symmetrical, leaving generous negative space around the edges for potential overlay elements in a clean, modern portfolio layout.

About

Creative Direction, Start to Finish

I’m Michael, a Creative Director and Photo & Video Producer focused on visually driven stories. From concept and casting to shoot days and final delivery, I guide teams through a clear, collaborative process that keeps ideas sharp and production calm.

A sleek professional workspace featuring a high-end mirrorless camera body with a cinema lens and a compact cinema-grade video monitor, all arranged neatly beside a minimalist laptop on a matte black desk. The desk sits in front of a large window overlooking a softly blurred modern cityscape. Late afternoon natural light pours in, creating a gentle gradient across the equipment and subtle reflections on the lens glass. The mood is focused and aspirational, suggesting meticulous creative direction. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a shallow depth of field that keeps the camera and laptop razor sharp while the background fades into smooth bokeh, emphasizing precision and professionalism in photo and video production.
A refined portfolio showcase concept where three large, frameless prints of striking still photographs float on a dark gallery wall, while a nearby ultra-thin display screen shows an abstracted video interface with blurred thumbnails and subtle play icons, avoiding any readable text. The floor is polished concrete, reflecting soft glows from recessed ceiling lights. The lighting is a mix of focused gallery spotlights on the prints and a gentle ambient wash around the screen, creating a sophisticated, museum-like mood. Photographic realism, captured from an eye-level perspective with strong leading lines drawing the viewer toward the wall, symbolizing the integration of high-end photography and video work in a curated, professional portfolio.

Selected Collaborations & Highlights

My work spans collaborations with independent artists, production houses, and global teams, plus guest critiques and talks for emerging creators—always with a focus on practical process, honest feedback, and images that move people.

A polished studio scene featuring a professional video camera mounted on a sturdy tripod, aimed at a neutral seamless backdrop with a subtle gradient from light grey to charcoal. Around it, a softbox on a boom arm, an LED panel with barn doors, and a neatly folded reflector hint at a versatile lighting setup. Clean cable runs and carefully positioned gear underscore meticulous planning. Soft, controlled studio lighting creates gentle, wraparound illumination with delicate shadows that reveal the textures of metal, rubber grips, and fabric. Photographic realism, shot at a slightly low angle with a moderate depth of field, conveying a calm, controlled, and highly professional production environment suitable for both photography and video work.
